WHY PARTNER WITH TERALTA ART

Teralta Art’s studio is located in City Heights, San Diego—a diverse area mainly inhabited by immigrant, refugee, and economically disadvantaged communities—dedicates itself to ensuring equitable art access. Our outreach and programs aim to empower these individuals to engage in the shaping of our regional culture through art-making.

Since our inception in June 2021, we've provided over 900 individuals with low-cost or free ceramics classes within our community.

Many of our regular patrons have not only found solace within our studio but have also forged new connections, fostering a strong sense of community both within and beyond our walls. As responsible citizens, our aspiration is to cultivate a virtuous cycle through art—a continuous positive loop that strengthens bonds and nurtures a thriving community spirit!

We currently partner with National Conflict Resolution Center to offer alternatives to the juvenile justice system, working alongside the District Attorney’s Office.

Teralta Art collaborates with Urban Street Angels (USA) to offer homeless youth 18-25 the opportunity to express themselves and gain confidence through creative exploration.

We partner with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to provide therapeutic art-making to families affected by war. To learn more about this collaboration, visit our Children’s Rights Project.
